2nd Engineer — SOV

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement is looking for a 2nd Engineer to join the SOV Pelagic Walu, a service operation vessel owned by Pelagic Wind Services, for work in the Baltic Sea on a 6/6 weeks rotation with boarding planned for November 2026. The role is well suited to an engineer experienced with hybrid propulsion and DP2 offshore operations, offering a solid monthly wage package.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in rank and on this type of vessel
• Prior service aboard modern DP2 offshore vessels
• Knowledge of modern hybrid electric power systems, including battery integration and diesel-electric propulsion
• Understanding of DC power distribution, energy-management systems, and performance monitoring of hybrid propulsion plants
• Holder of a valid DP maintenance certificate
• For new-build assignments: experience with sea trials, commissioning and early operational readiness, rigging during vessel start-up, handling guarantee claims, preparing for charter, building a strong onboard team, and maintaining strong documentation, defect tracking and maintenance planning records
