2nd Officer — General Cargo (Coaster)

A coaster-type general cargo vessel operating worldwide is seeking a 2nd Officer for a contract of about four months, with a basic monthly wage of 4000 EUR. The ship sails under a deck officer crew setup including 2/O, C/O and Master, and boarding is expected around the end of November.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 prior contracts in the same rank aboard General Cargo vessels with the same shipowner
• All certificates must comply with STCW requirements
• Valid Yellow Fever vaccination
• Integrated 4-in-1 Basic Safety Training (BST)
• Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC)
• Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF)
• Advanced Medical First Aid (MFA)
• Designated Security Duties certificate
• Security Awareness certificate
• Seaman's book issued after the year 2000
• Passport valid for at least 9 months from the date of joining
• References and prior feedback from previous employers are a plus
