Chief Officer — Chemical/Oil Tanker

An established crewing agency seeks an experienced Chief Officer for a Chemical/Oil Tanker operating in European waters. This is a 2-month contract position with a competitive monthly salary of €10,050 paid on board. The vessel is a modern oil and chemical tanker built in 2024, offering stability and advanced facilities for experienced deck officers.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working as a Chief Officer on chemical tanker vessels
• Certificate of Advanced Training in Oil Tankers Operations or equivalent specialization in chemical product transportation
• Certificate of Advanced Training in Chemical Tankers Operations or equivalent specialization in chemical product handling
• Certificate of Practical Training in Handling of Large Ships and Ships with Unusual Manoeuvring Characteristics
• Ship Handling Simulator Course or equivalent theoretical training for safe manoeuvring in challenging conditions
• Certificate of Shipboard Safety Officer covering work health and safety regulations at sea
• STCW matrix completion for all competencies required at the Chief Officer level
• Experience with handling liquid cargo including Annex I and Annex II products
• Ability to work within collective maritime safety and hygiene protocols
• General maritime proficiency and communication skills
