• GMDSS Certificate (GOC)
• RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore workboat coxswain qualification

• ECDIS (A-II/1) Model 1.27 endorsement as part of Certificate of Competency
• MCA-approved engine course (Part 1)
• MCA-approved workboat stability course
• STCW A-VI/1-1: Personal survival techniques
• STCW A-VI/1-2: Fire prevention and fire fighting
• STCW A-VI/1-3: Elementary first aid
• STCW A-VI/1-4: Personal safety and social responsibilities
• STCW A-VI/2-1: Survival craft and rescue boats (excluding fast rescue boat)
• STCW A-VI/4-1: Medical first aid
• STCW A-VI/4-2: Medical care
• STCW A-VI/6-4 and VI/6-1: Security awareness for seafarers with designated duties
• UK passport holder
• Valid unrestricted ENG 1 medical certificate
• Seamans book
• Proven offshore industry experience on SOVs
