Engine Repairman — Cruise Vessel (2 weeks)

Astral Limited is looking for a hands-on engine repairman (fitter/welder/mechanic/motorman-fitter profile) for a short two-week rotation aboard a Malta-flagged cruise/passenger vessel trading between Jeddah and Istanbul. The role offers a fixed lump sum of 2200 USD for the assignment, with boarding available in the window of mid-September to early October 2026.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out routine maintenance, repair and overhaul of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, engines and piping
• Skills in fabrication, welding, grinding and fitting for emergency or temporary repairs
• Capability to support the planned maintenance schedule under the direction of the engineering officers
• Experience working on auxiliary shipboard systems including HVAC, fuel, ballast and bilge systems
