Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, London based Marine Engineer to join a specialist marine engineering business in a Project Manager capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine their technical engineering background with project management responsibilities, overseeing a variety of commercial and passenger vessel projects across the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing engineering projects from initial planning through to completion, working closely with shipyards, contractors, clients and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. The role will involve coordinating refits, managing project timelines, producing detailed reports, monitoring progress and providing technical support throughout each stage of the project.

Although this is a project-focused position, a strong hands-on engineering background is essential, as you will remain closely involved with the technical delivery of projects. The role will require regular travel to various locations including Newcastle, Falmouth, Liverpool and Europe, with occasional time spent working away from home.

This opportunity would suit an experienced marine engineer looking to take the next step into project management while continuing to utilise their technical expertise. With excellent career progression, exposure to diverse marine projects and the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking engineering business, this is a fantastic stepping stone for someone looking to develop their career within the marine industry.
