2nd Engineer — AHTS

An experienced 2nd Engineer is required to join an AHTS vessel currently anchored off Fujairah, UAE, trading in the UAE/Strait of Hormuz region. The position offers a negotiable day rate of 550 EUR with an 8 weeks on/off rotation, joining after 20 September. This role suits engineers with strong towing operations background who are comfortable working in a high-risk maritime zone.

Vessel particulars

• AHTS built in 2003
• Main engines: 4 x Bergen B32:40L6P, 4023 BHP @ 750 RPM each
• 3450 GRT
• Vessel does not operate in DP mode — DP maintenance certificate not required
• Sailing area: UAE / Strait of Hormuz

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months' experience as 2nd Engineer on AHT/AHTS vessels
• Prior experience with Bergen main engines
• Demonstrated, proven experience in open-sea towing operations
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid Liberian endorsement/certificates and Seaman's Book considered an advantage
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Willingness to operate in the Strait of Hormuz, including conflict/high-risk area operations, with full awareness of current regional conditions
