Job Description

A heavy-lift/multi-purpose general cargo operator is looking for a Chief Officer to join a vessel fitted with cranes rated up to 350 metric tons, trading worldwide. This is a direct employment opportunity with the shipowner, offering a contract of roughly four months (plus or minus one) and a monthly base salary with a performance bonus on top.

  • Ship type: General Cargo / MPP (heavy-lift)
  • Deadweight: 28,000 – 62,000 DWT
  • Cranes: up to 350 MT lifting capacity
  • Trading/sailing area: worldwide

Requirements

  • Prior experience on general cargo / heavy-lift vessels with international crews
  • Proven background in GC/MPP operations combined with heavy crane handling
  • Solid knowledge of cargo operations for general cargo and heavy-lift shipments
  • Experience securing non-standard/out-of-gauge cargo
