1st Engineer — Cruise Ship

AIDA Cruises is looking for a motivated 1st Engineer (m/f/d) to join their international fleet sailing worldwide. This is a 3-month contract offering 5432 EUR per month, with boarding as soon as possible aboard one of AIDA's modern cruise ships.

Requirements

• Ability to safely manage an engineering watch when assigned as watch keeper
• Ensure compliance with flag state, class and other applicable regulations
• Enforce health, safety and fire protection rules across the engine department, including conducting or delegating relevant training
• Train, guide and supervise all subordinate crew members
• Organize and perform maintenance per the PMS requirements for the assigned sub-department, including inventory checks of spares and consumables
• Hold a national Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC III/2 unlimited) per STCW regulations
• At least 2 contracts served in a similar position; prior cruise vessel experience is an advantage
• Excellent English language and communication skills
• Highly motivated, willing to grow professionally
• Guest and service oriented, capable of working in, leading and motivating teams
